A woman has shared how she was ‘humiliated’ by a flight attendant who threatened to kick her off because of her outfit.
Sierra Steadman took to TikTok and described her experience while on the Alaska Airlines flight.
She explained that she was wearing a black crop top, white shorts, and a hoodie when a flight attendant allegedly threatened to kick her off the flight because of her attire.
Steadman claimed the stewardess even grabbed her arm when she attempted to walk away because she was ‘screaming in my face.’
“I’ve never felt more degraded, ashamed, embarrassed, angry or sad. F ALASKA AIRLINES!!!” she captioned the video.
Her video received more than 5 million views and over 1.4 million likes in just two days.
“When the flight attendant s1uT shames you in front of the whole plane and threatens to kick you off for what you’re wearing,” she wrote.
In the comments section, Steadman added: “When I tried to walk away from her because she was screaming in my face and grabbed my arm.”
Many TikTokers seemed to give her messages of support.
One person wrote: “Please report her to customer service. These older flight attendants with their old ways need to start retiring! So sorry she did that to you! You’re a beautiful girl and I can tell a bitter hag of a flight attendant when things like this happen.”
Another said: “Honestly she is probably jealous that she isn’t confident enough to wear those clothes so just know you’re beautiful.”
A third added: “Girl literally sue them get your money up.”
Steadman’s mother Shannon reportedly emailed Alaska Airlines.
The response read: “Alaska strives to provide exceptional service to our customers. From what you have shared, it is apparent that we have failed. You and your daughter should expect nothing less than to be treated with the utmost respect, compassion and care.
“It is truly disappointing to hear that you both did not feel that way during boarding and during the interactions with our flight attendant.”
“We want to assure you that we take these matters very seriously and have shared your concern with our Inflight Management team that will conduct an internal investigation,” it added.
“Due to privacy concerns, we will not be able to disclose any findings, but can guarantee you that this will be reviewed.”
