The 27-year-old, who worked in a pediatrician’s office, called a hitman in Ecuador via WhatsApp and asked him to kill her ex-husband’s mother and five-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Suffolk County district attorney Timothy Sini said that it was part of Rodriguez-Garcia’s plan so her ex-husband could spend more time with her.

Rodriguez-Garcia said that she arranged the plan in Ecuador as she thought that she won’t get caught.

She gave the hitman the address and photos of the targets and agreed to pay $6,000 for the murders.

Her ex-husband learned of her scheme and immediately tipped off the police, who then photoshopped a photo of the ‘murders’ and sent it to Rodriguez-Garcia as ‘proof.’
