A 22-year-old woman suffering from kidney failure has been saved after receiving a new kidney from her Tinder date who ‘super-starred’ her.

Cheyenne HanLee, from Santa Ana, CA, met her boyfriend, Gavin Teragawa on dating app Tinder two years ago after swiping right on his profile.

After dating for seven months, Cheyenne one day collapsed while she was out with friends and Gavin took her to the hospital.

She told Barcroft TV: “When I first got Tinder, I didn’t believe that I was sick because my illness is invisible. No one else, including myself, could see that I was sick but I could feel it.”

“Most people don’t live to that point, I would have died in a few days if I didn’t go to the hospital when I did.”

Doctors told them that Cheyenne needed a transplant and Gavin decided to donate his kidney to Cheyenne.

At first, Cheyenne didn’t want Gavin to donate his kidney but they had no other option.

Gavin said he was asked why he was doing this and he simply said, “it’s not a question of why, but rather, how can I not?”

Gavin donated his kidney to Cheyenne on October 24th, 2018 in the Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and saved her life.

Gavin said: “Regular 22-year-olds aren’t supposed to suffer like she has – I’ll do anything to make it a little better for her”.
