A woman was shocked to find a bizarre egg growing in her home and shared a photo of it on the internet to find some answers.
But people online immediately warned her not to touch the egg.
Amy discovered the mysterious egg inside her son’s wardrobe but she didn’t know what it was so she took a picture of it and her friend shared it on Facebook.
According to the Daily Star, they had just moved into their new home so they were not sure if the egg had already been there before they arrived.
But Facebook users were quick to share their own theories about the mysterious egg, with one guessing it could be a ‘dinosaur egg.’
Others warned Amy not to touch the bizarre item.
The photo was first posted on the Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas Facebook page. It reads: “This is inside my friend’s son’s wardrobe. They don’t know if it’s always been there and they’ve never seen it or if it’s just appeared. They’ve not long moved.
“Anyone any ideas what it is? And what they should do?”
Many feared the huge egg contains thousands of spiders while others suggested more horrifying answers.
One Facebook user wrote: “My other half was in pest control and he believes it’s a spiders’ egg nest. You can (vacuum) it up and then put a load of raid (to kill spiders) in the hoover. If it is a spiders’ nest then there will be thousands in there.”
Another said: “I’d suggest a biohazard suit, insect spray, some form of fire, poke it and see what happens at least you’re prepared.”
A third commented: “If this was a billion years ago, I’d say we have a dinosaur egg on our hands.”
Someone else said: “Oh hell no. I’d not be touching that full stop. Call Ghostbusters immediately!”
But after Amy’s father-in-law checked the egg out, they found out that the egg was just an ‘expanding foam’ from the roof of their house.
