A 31-year-old woman, from Kazakhstan, fell from a 115-foot cliff while taking a picture to celebrate the end of the lockdown in Turkey.
Olesya Suspitsyna fell from a 115-foot cliff and died in front of her friend while taking a picture in Antalya, Turkey.
Olesya and her female friend went for a walk in Antalya on Sunday after the government announced the end of the lockdown in the city.
She wanted to take a picture on the edge of the cliff with the waterfalls in the background so she decided to climb over the safety fence.
She posed while her friend clicked the picture.
However, while posing for the photo, Olesya slipped on the grass and fell from the 115-foot cliff after losing her balance.
Her friend called emergency services and her body was pulled out of the water later.
After her death, her relative Yury told Kazakh media that Olesya, who worked as a tour guide in the city for the last five years, was smart and cheerful.
She loved her job and always admired the beauty of the Turkish nature.
Yury told to Kazakh media: ”Olesya was a smart and cheerful person. She set goals and made them happen.”
A close friend of Olesya Olga Kravchuk told that Olesya always loved the sea and her dream was to live in Turkey.
She made her dream come true as she went on to have worked as a tour guide in Antalya.
Olga Kravchuk said: ”Olesya always loved the sea and dreamed of living in Turkey. She made her dream come true. More than anything she loved the feeling of freedom. This is an irreparable loss. My heart is broken.”
Olesya will be buried in her native city of Kostanay and her body will be transported from Turkey to Kazakhstan.
