Police are searching for a woman who worked as a currency-packing assistant and fled with $10 million (€8m) cash.
Yasemin Gundogan worked for a cash-handling company in Bremen, Germany, and was responsible for packing stacks of money into cases before they were delivered to banks, betting shops, and cash-counting companies.
According to reports, she put the cash in security bags and sneaked them out of the building using a trash bin.
Police have been searching for Gundogan for weeks and now they had to issue an arrest warrant.
According to police report, the woman rolled the bin outside before moving the security bags into a black Mercedes-Benz minivan. No one noticed the bags of money were missing until four days later.
It is not clear if Gundogan was acting alone or working with someone.
Police are still investigating the case.
Earlier this year, another bank robber was caught after he borrowed a vehicle from a car dealership.
He then drove the vehicle to a bank, robbed the bank, and drove the car back to the dealership with the money he stole in an attempt to purchase a BMW.
50-year-old Eric Dion Warren reportedly drove to a bank in Texas and passed the cashier a note that read: “This is a f***ing robbery. Play with me and die. I want $10,000 in 50 and 100 dollar bills now you got 1 minute or I will kill you.”
He then produced a weapon, telling the bank employee: “I ain’t playing around, I only want 100s and 50s.”
He then took the cash to the car dealership to buy a black BMW.
Warren was caught when police got in touch with the car dealership that same day to tell them about the getaway vehicle, which had the plate number registered with them.
The robber was then sentenced to 20 years behind bars after he admitted his crime.
