A heartwarming video has emerged that shows a 91-year-old woman dancing with her doctor after spine surgery.
Julia Tourtellotte, who has been dancing since she was in her 40s, had to stop dancing when a neurosurgeon, Dr. Sabino D’Agostino told her that radical treatment is needed.
Julia, who is a dancer and choreographer, went through robotic spinal surgery. She recovered in a few months.
A couple of months after her surgery, Julia decided to meet Dr. D’Agostino at the Trident Medical Center.
When they reunited, they danced together to celebrate the successful surgery. The heartwarming video instantly went viral after it was posted online.
Surgeon Sabino D’Agostino said about Julia: “She’s pretty remarkable. When she showed up in the office I said, ‘Wow, I wish I had half of your energy.’”
Julia said: “I don’t take no medicine, just eye drops for glaucoma and immaculate degeneration. I do pretty well. I told (friends) in Gatlinburg, ‘When I get 100, I’m coming dancing,’”.
“It just makes me feel good.”
The heartwarming video received thousands of likes and comments. People were left stunned after seeing Julia’s energy at such age.
