After dropping her children at a playgroup, a woman returned to her home only to find a pair of cows destroying her property.
Chelsea Hingston from Tasmania was left completely shocked when she came home with debris and piles of manure across her living room, furniture destroyed, and blankets, clothes, and other items damaged.
The two intruders, named Bandit and Sob, were caught red-handed and refused to flee.
Speaking with Daily Mail Australia, Ms. Hingston said that their beloved cows had managed to enter their home through the back door.
“I was horrified and in denial,” she expressed. “I opened the front doors and called to them, they just walked out.”
Ms. Hingston said the fence to the animals’ paddock was destroyed when a large tree fell during a storm. She then locked the cows in the backyard.
“My partner and I had only purchased the home in December so to say our hearts broke when we saw inside is an understatement,” the mother-of-two said.
“We have bare concrete flooring whilst we wait to be able to get new flooring laid and lost a considerable amount of clothing, plants, and toys.”
Ms. Hingston said the estimated damage of the unwelcome guests is over $15,000.
The mother took to TikTok and shared the moment she walked into her soiled home and found Bandit and Sob relaxing in the living room.
One person commented: “Gotta have a sense of humor when confronted with a scene like that- names are appropriate too!! Love it.”
Another shared: “I used to live in Australia and shared the house with a pesky wombat that wouldn’t leave us alone and made a burrow underneath our patio. We named it Wally and when we returned to the UK, I was genuinely devastated to leave it behind. Miss you wally!”
A third added: “After A hard day of anything no one shouldn’t have to come home to that! Sorry for her!”
