Woman Caught On Camera Coughing On A Baby After Removing Her Face Mask


The police have been on the hunt for the woman who was caught on camera removing her face mask before approaching a baby in a stroller and coughing on him.

The bizarre incident occurred in San Jose, California, where a woman, who appears to be in her 60s, approached and coughed on a baby that was at a yogurt shop with his mother.

As seen in the footage shared by the San Jose Police Department, the woman removed her face mask and approached a stroller with a baby inside before coughing all over him.

According to Mireya Mora, the mum of the 1-year-old toddler in question, the incident wasn’t an accident and the elderly woman coughed on her child deliberately.

In addition, the mother explained that she was left in shock after the unsuspected attack that happened very quickly.

“She did it on purpose. It’s not like she coughed on accident ‘Oh cough, cough.’ No, she purposely coughed on my son’s face,” Mora said in an interview with ABC News.

“It happened so quick I was in shock. She got close, she took off her mask, and she coughed three times super hard on my son’s face.”

As the upset mother went on to say, the incident could have been sparked by racist thoughts since the woman appeared to have a problem with her speaking Spanish and being in the same line as her family.

“Me and my grandma are Hispanic and she started telling me about my distance and harassing me and my son once I started speaking Spanish to my grandma,” Mora added.

Following the incident, the police department released the footage and asked the public to help them identify the senior in question.
