33-years-old Katie Coelho rushed to Connecticut’s hospital in Danbury on Wednesday around 3 p.
m. but it was too late.
Jon, her husband who had spent the last month in the hospital getting treated for the coronavirus disease had died of cardiac arrest caused due to the disease. Her husband, Jon, was only 32-years-old. ‘
Heartbroken and bereft, Katie gathered her husband’s belongings. She opened his phone only to save as many photographs of him as well as their 2 kids as she could. But she stumbled across something that stunned her.
He had left a note for her. He had written that he loved her and his kids with all his heart and that they had given him the best life he could have ever gotten.
He added that he was lucky and it made him proud to be her husband and the father of their children, Penny and Braedyn.
He had also mentioned that Katie has been the most caring, nurturing, and beautiful person he had ever met and that she was unique and she should live life with the same passion and happiness that made Jon fall in love with her.
He then wrote that seeing her be the best mother to the children had been the biggest thing he had ever experienced.
Katie was shocked to see the note and said that even though her husband had been fighting for his life, she knew he wanted her and their kids to be okay until the very end.
She further added that he knew he should say something to her because she had not been able to talk to him for so long.
Katie and Jon met as Western Connecticut State University’s students. They were initially close friends until they started dating and then in 2013, they began their journey as wife and husband.
They had two children together, two-year-old Braedyn and ten-month-old Penelope.
