She texted her boyfriend, whom she met on a dating app, asking him what he was doing and he replied, “watching the Olympics with the boys, see u tomorrow,” with a photo attached to it.

However, the photo he sent hinted at something unusual. At first glance, the image looked to simply capture a TV showing the Tokyo 2020 Games, but a closer look uncovered incriminating details in the mirrored television cabinet.

When Megan zoomed in on the photo, she noticed a glass of red wine in the reflection of a feminine cabinet and what appeared to be a woman’s leg.

She also pointed out several additional details, including a hydro flask, some books which she believed belongs to a woman, including one on the history of prestigious fashion brand Chanel and a large bouquet of pink and white flowers.

To Megan these appeared to be clear indications that her boyfriend was cheating or at the very least, lying about being with the boys.

The video has accumulated a million views, 600,000 likes, and 2,300 comments from viewers applauding her observation skills. However, the viewers are divided on whether Megan’s boyfriend is really being unfaithful to her.

“I can already hear the excuses,” one user commented.

“He really thought that would work too,” a second one said. “Who gave men the audacity to be so painfully unaware of themselves.”

“They always think they’re so smart,” wrote a third one.

“I’m sorry you’re dealing with betrayal, but this is incredibly funny,” a fourth one added.

“Why wouldn’t he zoom in and send the TV alone… I have so many questions,” another user said.

However, others defended the guy saying maybe there was a possibility that this was a harmless situation. As they pointed out that he could be at a friend’s house, who lives with a female companion.

“Maybe it’s his friend’s wife?” one viewer said. “Gf? Maybe?”

“Hope one of his friends has a girlfriend and they live together,” added a second one.

“I don’t get it,” another one said. “Why would you make that assumption from this photo?”

In response to users who accused her of lying and fabricating the viral video herself, Megan shared a follow-up storytime video in which she explained the situation.

Apparently, Megan and this man eventually made plans to hang out because everything was going well on the dating app.

And during a texting conversation, when her boyfriend sent the photo, Megan replied “as a joke” for him to tell “the boys” that she really liked “her TV stand.” He replied, “she said thanks.”

It’s uncertain from the storytime who the boyfriend was with at the time, but Megan said it was no big deal. She just posted the footage on TikTok, knowing that it would “blow up.”

But then she and her man went on a date the next day, definitely joking about the story and the TikTok at the same time. She said that they had more plans to see each other that week.

“So yeah, that’s what happened,” she said. “He’s not a piece of trash like everyone is saying. It’s just funny.”
