A 32-year-old woman has been arrested after she sent hundreds of naked photos of men to other people.
Sarah Pharis allegedly mailed 150 nude photos of a man to at least 30 people. She was first arrested on December 28 but was released that same day on $75,000 bail.
On January 14, she was arrested again after it was discovered that she mailed out photos of a second man.
Pharis was charged with an additional 30 counts of non-consensual disclosure of a private photo but she was released again on a $15,000 bail.
Police from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said the woman traveled from Louisiana to Texas just to send the photos.
“A number of different people contacted him [the victim] and said, ‘we’ve received something through the mail and it has photographs of you,” Chief deputy Stitch Guillory told KPLC.
“It just so happened that the post mark on some of the mail they received came from Texas – the Houston area,” he added.
One of the men said that Pharis had mailed out ‘hundreds’ of images of him doing “lewd acts, as well as letters defaming him.”
He claims that the woman obtained his photos “through Facebook account” that she had created for him many years ago.
Pharis is now facing 180 counts of non-consensual disclosure of a private photo. Officers did not release any details about her relationship with the two men.
A surprised neighbor told Fox: “I didn’t really think that she would be capable of that. She seemed like a down to earth person.
“I don’t know what made her do that.”
Another neighbor said: “I think it’s crazy. I don’t know what would push somebody to do that.”
