A woman who allegedly urinated on potatoes in a Walmart in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, has turned herself in.
According to the police report, Grace Brown turned herself in at West Mifflin Police Station. The police were looking for her ever since her eccentric act was caught on camera at the Walmart outlet in West Mifflin.
In order to search the woman after her lewd crime came to light, the West Mifflin Police Department posted her pictures taken from security camera footage online so as to get help from social media users.
The gross act was discovered by a Walmart worker when he noticed urine on the floor, just beside a bin of potatoes.
The police attended the ‘criminal mischief report’ at about quarter to nine and later identified the suspect as Grace Brown.
Officials from the department contacted Grace and she turned herself in at the police station, ‘where she identified herself as the person urinating on the potatoes.’
She was accompanied by her lawyer.
The office of the Allegheny County District Attorney has recommended to charge her with open lewdness, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct as per their official statement.
The incident has also been brought into the notice of US Attorney’s Western Pennsylvania Office.
According to a statement given to Fox News by a Walmart spokesperson, they took immediate action in response to the gruesome act.
The statement said: ‘The safety of our customers is a top priority for us.
‘This type of obscene conduct is outrageous, and we immediately disposed of the affected products and sanitized the area to ensure its cleanliness and safety for our customers.
‘We’re working with the West Mifflin Police Department to find the responsible party and have them prosecuted.’
Speaking to KDKA, the shoppers at the Walmart outlet said it ‘was sick’ and that the woman ‘has problems.’
Customer Tai Rid told KDKA: ‘That’s really gross. Why do it? She must be ill or something.’
Eerily, this gross incident has taken place just weeks after a video showing people licking ice cream from Walmart stores in Louisiana and Texas surfaced on social media.
