A plant lover was left devastated when she learned that the plant she had been nurturing for two years turned out to be a fake one.
Charlie Wilkes made sure that her plant received all the love and dedication to stay in perfect condition.
She watered the plant religiously and took care of the fact that it received a good amount of sunlight, and cleaned the leaves regularly as well.
It never once crossed her mind that the plant she had been loving for so long, was not the real one.
She found out the truth when she decided to report it, and the shock she received was too much for her to digest.
Charlie also said that she planned a strict time to water the plant, and would get pretty defensive if anyone tried to water it.
Later, she took it to Facebook and declared to her friends by saying she just wanted to take good care of it and water it every day.
Her decision to repot the plant came up immediately when she encountered a cute vase that will suit well with the plant.
She carefully pulled the plant out from the plastic container and then she discovered the base to be made of foam. The top layer was decorated with sand as it was glued to it.
Callie later questioned herself of not knowing it to be fake and also added by saying her last two years was nothing but a simple lie.
Charlie’s story was shared in an Australian indoor plant group on Facebook, where several other individuals also admitted doing the same mistake.
One member of the group shared his part of the story by saying that his friend would kill the plants because he doesn’t water them.
So, he switched a real plant with a fake one and the friend started watering it regularly until the member declared it was a fake one. However, other members too shared their respective stories over a fake plant as well.
