A woman who called herself a ‘nutter magnet’ has opened up about the bizarre things her dates gave her in the past.

As 27-year-old Jodie Weston, who previously took part in Rich Kids Go Skint, revealed, her past Valentine’s Day dates were far from successful.

According to the London-based model, DJ, and radio presenter, she hopes to have more luck with dating in the future, whereas some of her past dates were downright creepy.

Recalling one of her Valentine’s Day dates, Weston revealed how her date gave her a ring made out of his teeth as a present.

“A few years ago, I received a ring made from a guy’s own teeth. He had found his old baby teeth and decided to make a ring out of them, I was absolutely shocked,” she said.

“I was totally creeped out! It felt like something out of the horror film Hostel! I thought they were some type of black magic. To make matters worse, he was really proud of it and obviously expected me to be as well.  I said, ‘well that’s different and asked him if that’s how he saw me – as a row of teeth?’

“He said that to him, teeth symbolize confidence – like me. I Googled some meanings associated with teeth and found that teeth falling out means you’re being lied to so I took that as a symbol to dump the guy – like I needed one though, after that gift.”

While this may sound like a one-of-a-kind incident, the 27-year-old insists that the tooth-ring is just one of many bizarre gifts she had received in the past.

According to Weston, she was previously also gifted personalized underwear and a pet goldfish. One time, though, she was lucky enough to receive a bouquet – only to find out that the name on the tag indicated they were meant for someone else.

“It was a weird situation! We had been dating a couple months before the pandemic started a year ago and the day before Valentine’s Day, I met up with him for a drink in London,” she added as she recalled the incident involving the bouquet.

“Afterwards he went up to his apartment which was near the bar to get my flowers he had bought for Valentine’s Day and a rickshaw went past me whilst I was waiting alone in the street by his apartment.

“The guy riding it said ‘hey love that guy’s a local, don’t trust him he’s with different girls every day’, then my date emerged a couple minutes later with the flowers.”

Weston added: “I was standing there a bit confused by what had just happened with my rickshaw encounter and didn’t know how to bring up what had just happened with my date so I left it and went home with my bunch of flowers.

Back when she was still studying, the young DJ also received a pet goldfish from one of her classmates. Knowing she didn’t want to look after the animal, however, she kindly declined the gift.

During another more recent Valentine’s Day date, Jodie was gifted personalized underwear with the guy’s face on it. As she admitted, she could no longer look at her date the same way following his bizarre gift.

One can only wonder what happened to chocolates and flowers over the years.
