A woman who was celebrating one-year anniversary with her boyfriend tragically died in a water park.
18-year-old Anna Teplova just went down a slide at the Freestyle water park in Belarus when she jumped into the water.
She was supposed to meet her boyfriend at the exit but her hand got sucked in by an underwater drain.
Her boyfriend, Dmitry, said: “The lifeguard told me that she had jumped in the water, then, apparently, the drain turned on, she was sucked in, and she suffered blows.
“Most likely, she received a head injury. And she couldn’t get out. Her whole back was blue. There was a huge bruise.”
According to reports, a couple saw her underwater and immediately screamed for help as they tried to pull her out. However, Anna’s hand was completely stuck.
“She is sucked in, sucked in!” they shouted.
The devastated boyfriend said: “I saw someone being pulled out, then I noticed her swimsuit. I realized it was her. I helped pull (her) out.”
Paramedics arrived minutes later. They pumped her out for half an hour, then another five minutes, then another two minutes,” he shared.
“Until the very end they fought for her, but could not save her.”
One witness named Bella said: “Only when they all pulled together could they get her out. How this pumping system started to work when so many people were in the pool, I don’t know.”
The water park was closed after the incident.
