Reports suggest that Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie were involved in a massive fight shortly before the van-life girl disappeared.
According to Nina Celie Angelo and her boyfriend Matthew England, the couple was at The Merry Piglets restaurant in Wyoming when they came across Gabby and Brian on August 27.
While in the restaurant, Nina and Matthew overheard an “aggressive” man arguing with the staff over his check. After already leaving the place, the man reportedly returned to the restaurant four times to argue with the employees and yell at the hostess.
Meanwhile, the woman who was with the man was allegedly “hysterically crying” and returned to the restaurant to apologize for her boyfriend’s behavior after taking leave.
While Angelo and England didn’t think much of it at the time, they were in for a big shock while reviewing bodycam footage of the police days later after Petito went missing.
“He goes, ‘Nina, that was the couple fighting at the restaurant.’ And it stopped me in my tracks. I felt like the blood left my body. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I completely forgot about that incident,’” Angelo told Fox News.
“I have chills right now. It’s crazy because it wasn’t just like we passed them on the street — it was a full blown incident.”
Recalling the fight at the restaurant, Angelo added:
“We were sitting right next to them. They got kicked out of the restaurant and were fighting with the hostess.
“She was crying as she was standing on the sidewalk and I was watching the whole thing unfold. And he walked back in the restaurant and he’s fighting with the hostess.”
As Angelo explained, Brian had returned four times to argue with staff while his girlfriend was “hysterically crying” outside the restaurant.
