The royal residence where the successful candidate will be posted is the Windsor Castle, a palace with 1,000 rooms, which means the job could be fairly hectic.

The requirements for the job include ‘previous housekeeping experience and a sharp eye for detail,’ because the Queen and her family are very keen about maintaining their residence in a good shape.

However, it doesn’t mean you’ll be carrying a vacuum cleaner around to clean the 1,000 rooms her Majesty and her family use. The new employee will have to assist the existing staff in cleaning activities during functions and events that are held at the palace.
