Becoming parents is the most beautiful feeling, but sometimes it gives us unexpected surprises also that makes our life happier.
When you’re assuming that you’re having one child and you learn it’s triplets, it can be a bit shocking. But this husband handled it like a champ.
“After already having 2 children, I surprised my husband at work with the ultrasound of our third pregnancy,” Stephanie Valas said. “I snuck the phone in my jacket pocket so he wouldn’t know he was being recorded.”
Stephanie, who has two children with her husband, secretly captured his reaction when she told him with three separate photos of the ultrasound that they are expecting triplets.
At first, her husband did not even dream of what photos in his hands mean, so Stephanie explained to him.
“This is a picture of baby A, this is a picture of baby B and this is a picture baby C,” Stephanie said to him. The husband was still not getting the message, but then he finally got a clue.
“Will we have three kids? Are you serious?” the husband said enthusiastically.
While looking at the sonogram pictures, he said, “Little thing! That’s beautiful!” Then noticing his wife’s lack of reaction, he added, “Is everything OK?”
Valas told him to look closer at the pics. “See anything different?” she prompted.
Confused, he looked harder at the flimsy printouts and noticed they were labeled “A,” “B,” and “C.” But he still didn’t get it.
“I don’t understand,” he said. “What’s wrong?”
Her husband stared dumbstruck at the strip of pictures before finally asking, “We’re having three babies?” Then he counted them out on his fingers.
“One? Two? Three?” he said before breaking into a hilarity-filled cackle and engulfing Valas in a hug. “Why is that bad? That’s amazing!”
He followed it up with an expletive and then said, “I’m happy! We’re going to need a bigger house.”
