The Kyle and Jackie O Show received a call from a worried 27-year-old woman named Tanya who sought advice after finding out she was betrayed by her husband and mother at the same time.
As Tanya explained during the Group Therapy section, she shares a young daughter with her husband of six years. Her heart, however, had been shattered into pieces after the woman found out she was being cheated on.
Not only did Tanya’s husband cheat on the 27-year-old but he had an affair with his own wife’s mother, making the betrayal twice as painful.
After confronting her mother and husband, Tanya’s marriage broke down and she was left “messed” up.
“She basically got all defensive, blamed everything on him. Called me a lot of names. She didn’t answer the question,” the 27-year-old recalled.
“My family confirmed it and my gut instinct. As soon as I confronted both of them, they blamed each other, they were all defensive, so many red flags and I just couldn’t take it anymore.”
While Tanya remains unsure about how long the affair lasted and where the two had been seeing each other, she revealed that she used to be quite close to her mother before the big discovery.
As Tanya also revealed, her husband previously cheated on her with another woman. Nevertheless, she forgave him for the sake of their daughter and resorted to her mother for advice.
“I left him a week ago. I just couldn’t take it anymore. It was a build up,” the young mum added. “I was naive and trusting,” she added, confirming that she’d walked away from him for good.
