A wife is seeking a divorce because her husband showers her with gifts and helps her clean the house.
The woman in the UAE said to a Sharia court that her husband never argued or shouted at her and was always generous and loving.
Even though the husband shows extreme affection and love, she said her life was ‘hell’ because of his ‘cruel-free treatment,’ according to Khaleej Times, an English language UAE newspaper.
The woman complained ‘his love and compassion are so over the top’ that she decided to seek a divorce.
“I am choked by his extreme love and affection. He even assisted me in cleaning the house without me asking him,” she complained.
Reports said that the couple never had an argument and the husband didn’t yell at her even once.
When the wife complained about his weight, he went on a strict diet and exercised so hard that he broke his leg.
“I am eagerly longing for a single day of dispute, but this seems impossible with my romantic husband who always forgave me and showered me with daily gifts,” she expressed.
“I need a real discussion, even an argument, not this hassle-free life full of obedience.”
The husband told the court: “It’s not fair to judge a marriage from the first year, and everybody learns from their mistakes. I am and always wish to be a perfect and kind husband.”

Another commented: “Are we sure this is legitimate? Sounds more like an advertisement to justify their poor treatment for women. Went to dinner with my friend and his visiting arab friend and wife. Wife was not allowed to speak or order her own food and had to be the last through the door. The males are raised from a young age to accept this as the norm and that disciplining their wife is an act of love.”
