While White House press secretary Jen Psaki refused to comment on the couple’s allegations and claims concerning the Royal Family, she insisted the president believes it takes courage to come forward and share personal problems with the world.

After being asked about President Biden’s reaction to the bombshell CBS interview in which Meghan and Harry accused the British monarchy of racism, Psaki said:

“For anyone to come forward and speak about their own struggles with mental health and tell their own personal story, that takes courage and that’s certainly something the president believes.”

While the press secretary insisted she could not provide additional comments in regards to the couple’s interview, she went on to double down on praising the relationship that the United States has with the UK and the British people.

“We aren’t going to provide additional commentary from here on behalf of the president or others given these are private citizens, sharing their own story and their own struggles,” Psaki added.

“And let me just reiterate that we have a strong and abiding relationship with the British people and a special partnership with the government of the United Kingdom on a range of issues and that will continue.”

Psaki’s comments follow shortly after the bombshell CBS interview in which Meghan and Harry told Oprah Winfrey that racism was one of the main reasons why they left the royal family.

As the couple insisted, one of the royals, whom they refused to name, voiced worries that Archie’s skin would be too dark due to Meghan’s mixed-race when the Duchess of Sussex was still pregnant with her first child.

Meghan and Harry also insisted the family didn’t support them when the Duchess was feeling suicidal and trapped.
