News of a baby on the way is enough to get any family excited. The excitement and joy are not confined to the upcoming parents but to everyone around them especially the soon-to-be grandparents. After all, a new life means a certain passing of the torch as far as the family is concerned and with that new baby rests all the hopes and dreams of all the other family members that came before.
Of course, announcing such momentous news is totally different from say, announcing that a new bridge has opened up or that there’s an upcoming sale next week. You could always deliver the news in with a deadpan face but where’s the fun in that? A new life is a special news that requires a special method of delivery.
Baby gender reveals parties gained popularity on Pinterest and soon, a lot of parents would host a party decked both with pink and blue decorations in order to surprise expectant guests with the gender of the baby.
This was followed by baby announcement parties, also with varying levels of sophistication and ingenuity that can even include videography and/or AV presentations. While all these are exciting and valid, it’s always refreshing when someone takes a different approach to announce that there’s a bun in the oven.
One video shows the expectant parents arranging a Whisper Challenge in order to make the surprise announcement. It’s a game that is slowly gaining traction and involves players listening to loud music on their headphones as a phrase is whispered to them by another player. Ben and his wife decided that the Whisper Challenge would be a fun and perfect way to break the news to his in-laws and brother-in-law.
Josh, Ben’s brother-in-law, uses the name “Brother” and the phrase that was said was “Brother is going to be an uncle.point 236 |

It’s certainly a moment to remember and the joy seen here is something to cherish in the years to come.
