A massive humpback whale was found dead washed off on the beach of Northumberland.
The body of the whale was found between Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle in the morning today.
As per a report, in the north sea, 2 whales came in sight last week. Out of the two, one was dead and the other one had severe injuries.
The dead whale was spotted in Whitley Bay once and then again at North Shields for the second time.
The man who found the humpback whale on the beach said that it is probably the same dead whale that has been spotted in the sea over the last week as it cannot be the other humpback whale, the one that had injuries on as this one has no marks of any injuries.
The experts have taken the whale and are working on the body to find out the reason for the creature’s death.
The number of dead fishes and dolphins washing off to the shores of the UK has risen over time and the experts are worried.
The records show that in the year 2017 alone more than 1,000 dolphins, whales, and porpoises had died and washed off to the shores of the UK. The number has been the highest in several years.
As per the record 4,896 have died on the beaches between 2011 and 2017 with multiple causes of death that includes diseases, fishing, and plastic.
The experts do not have the answer to the question that why the number of deaths is increasing but of course they believe that one reason can be the increased population of dolphins and whales in the region.
Experts say that they have been recording these deaths since 1990 and have been working on the dead bodies to find the reason for death and whether they are associated with the human activities if they are.
