Recently, police arrested a twenty-years-old man for creating a terrorist threat in Missouri Walmart. He was carrying an assault rifle with 100 round of ammunition and was filming himself while strolling.
Dmitriy Nickolayvich Andreychenko posted a video of himself a few days back, in which he was firing Anderson Arms AR-12 5.56.
In February, he put up a Facebook status and revealed in the post that he hated Walmart’s policy to only sell firearms to individuals above twenty-one years of age but can walk into the store freely with a loaded .40.
Andreychenko, decked up in a military-style clothing and a bullet-proof vest, scared all the shoppers who fleed the store immediately. He was stopped by a firefighter on gunpoint.
3150 W. Republic Road store manager saw him and pushed the fire alarm. Upon hearing the alarm, Andreychenko tried to escape, but was caught by an off-duty firefighter who had a gun. He was held until the police came.
While no shots were fired, Andreychenko was booked for a 1st-degree terrorist threat. It was further revealed that Andreychenko was carrying another gun with the loaded rifle along with ammunition. He was passing comments on shoppers as they were trying to flee the chaotic scene.
It is believed that the intent of Andreychenko was to create chaos, which he successfully did. However, it could be just a social media stunt meant for livestreaming. His car, a gray Mazda sedan, was searched by a fire marshal team to look for possible bombs in the vehicle.
Andreychenko studies at Ozarks Technical Community College to be an EMT. He seems to be from Portland, Oregon, and is married since 2016. The couple is expecting a little one and it was announced by Andreychenko in June that the hunting duo is set to become a hunting trio.
The Springfield police arrived at the store within three minutes of the first 911 call. The incident happened just after five days of mass shooting at a Walmart store in Texas, which killed twenty-two people.
