Waitress Received More Than $82K Tips From People Around The World After She Kicked Out A CEO From High-End Restaurant


The waitress who kicked out a racist Silicon Valley CEO from a high-end restaurant has received more than $82,000 in tips from people around the world.

Gennica Cochran stood up against 37-year-old Michael Lofthouse after he racially abused an Asian family who had been celebrating a birthday at Bernardus Lodge and Spa’s Lucia restaurant.

The waitress was seen on video telling the CEO to leave after he called an Asian family a ‘fu***** Asian piece of s***,’ adding that ‘Trump is going to f*** you.’

Cochran ordered Lofthouse to leave, saying: “You are not allowed here. You do not talk to our guests like that.”

Cochran was hailed an ‘everyday hero’ by people from all over the world and a page set-up to give her tips has raised more than $65,000.

Two GoFundMe accounts have also raised a total of $15,000 and tips are still pouring in!

In an interview with KGO-TV, Cochran said she will use the money to pursue yoga teaching. She’s also planning to send some money to people in the service industry.

Speaking about the incident, Cochran said: “I felt very protective of them. To hear the emotion coming out of my voice, to see my mannerisms, it was unbelievable it was just something that came over me and I just did what needed to be done.

“I did what anybody else should or would do in that situation.”

She also explained that it was one f the first times customers were finally allowed to dine after the Covid-19 outbreak, and she didn’t want to let Lofthouse ruin their experience.
