Cilla Carden, who works as a massage therapist, is a proud vegan from Girrawheen, Perth, Australia, who took her neighbors to court because they grill meat in their backyard.

According to Carden, she can’t enjoy her free time outdoors because there’s always a strong smell of meat which bothers her.

As the upset vegan added, her neighbor Toan Vu and his family also smoke and throw basketballs at their shared barrier.

Besides demanding that the family stops barbecuing on their own land, Carden also demanded they repaint the shared fence and get rid of weeds growing in their own yard.

Following her court appeal, the judge dismissed Carden’s claims in favor of the Vu family. She was later once again turned down after appealing to the Supreme Court.

Nevertheless, the determined vegan, who appeared in front of the camera wearing animal-print top and leather skirt, vowed to keep on fighting.

“They’ve put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can’t enjoy my backyard, I can’t go out there. It’s deliberate, that’s what I told the courts, it’s deliberate,” Carden said.

“It’s been devastating, it’s been turmoil, it’s been unrest I haven’t been able to sleep.”

According to Mr. Vu, however, his family got rid of the grill and ordered kids to stop playing basketball for the sake of argument.

As per reports, Carden also complained about Carmel Vallelonga, another neighbor who lives in a home next to the Vu family.

She allegedly demanded that Carmel turns off floodlights, repairs her fence, and paints the steps of her front entry.

Needless to say, all these demands were dismissed as well as they were in no way any business of Carden.

“Ms Carden’s demands were proven to be not reasonable and indeed were to the detriment of the other owners’ ability to enjoy their lots in a reasonable and acceptable manner,” Carmel said.
