American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson received some bold advice from renowned eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt recently.
Bolt did not spare a minute to beat around the bush and instead opted to be very upfront in terms of what was on his mind. And that’s when he told the star US sprinter to quit with the trash talking and start focusing on what was actually important and that including hardcore training.
Bolt went on to explain how it was an embarrassing ordeal for Richardson to receive a ban comprising of one month, which cost her a spot in the Tokyo Olympics. Therefore, it was high time for her to keep quiet.
Sha’Carri Richardson tested positive for cannabis, causing authorities to hand her a one-month ban, which meant she would no longer be a part of the Olympic Team for the USA in 2021.
Moreover, Usain Bolt was also quick to mention how trash talking just makes her look bad, and also competitors from Jamaica want to beat her even more.
Speaking to the Post recently, Bold said that he just wants Richardson to focus on what’s important and that includes training harder and not saying a lot. “Remember, if you happen to talk that big talk, you must have the power to back it up,” he boldly revealed.
After returning to the track last month, Sha’Carri Richardson shocked the world when she came in last at the 100-meter dash rash. Meanwhile, her fellow Jamaican competitor Elaine Thompson-Herah won the first position. The latter is also the same person who won gold for her country at the Tokyo Olympics this year.
Just ahead of the very hyped-up race, Richardson was recorded talking about a Nicky Minaj meme from 2017 where she claimed, “I took quite some time off to rest and now it’s game time, b**ches. Bring it on, you have no idea!”
But after coming in last, it just went on to reveal how all that trash talk just played a negative effect on her mind and body.
What are your thoughts on Usain Bolt’s advice for Sha’Carri Richardson? Do you agree with his words or not?
