It is the time for a grand celebration for USA’s women football team.
They won the world cup again, the fourth time in the row even though it appeared really hard this time.
It is the fourth time in the row that the USA has won the Women’s Football World Cup and they are more than happy.
They played their final game at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon against the Netherlands and swiped away with the victory.
Netherlands gave a very hard time to the USA but the girls did not stop or gave up their spirit. It was goals from Rose Lavelle and Megan Rapinoe that made them win the match.
In the first half, the USA was not doing great. They had no goal under their name in the entire first half. In the second half, Megan Rapinoe played a penalty shot and scored a goal.
Sari van Veenendaal, the goalkeeper of Netherlands gave a very tough time to the US. Veenendaal was probably at her best game and saved all the goals hit by the US.
Alex Morgan tried to shoot two goals within minutes but Veenendaal saved them both and gave the US no change to grow on the scoreboard.
She made a record of saving 4 goals in the first half.
But Veenendaal couldn’t save a goal that was a 61-minute penalty shoot for Megan Rapinoe. With this goal, she completed the 50 goals she has scored for the team of the USA.
In the second half USA decided to turn the game to their side as they tried a new tactic, kept going on with their domination on the game, exerted high pressure and this made them tough on the Netherlands.
It is time to celebrate not just for the team but for the entire nation on the victory and the extended record of winning the world cup fourth time in a row.
