It is not illegal to own a kangaroo in Texas. However, they cannot be trained in a house. These creatures can grow up to 2 meters tall and weigh up to 90 kg. Hence, they require enough space to move around.

Various groups working on animal rights questioned if the vet’s practice was legal or not. They believe that the animals must be raised in the wild.

One of the persons working with the group commented that these poor animals should not be available out there for sale. They belong in the wild. He insisted on putting the lady behind the bars.

Another individual claimed that now that these kangaroos have been fed using bottles, they would not adjust in the wild according to his understanding.

Since then, the vet has removed the post from Facebook. However, she still continues to advertise her website.
