Will Smith has left fans confused as he looked incredibly youthful during his appearance on BBC’s The One Show.
Viewers couldn’t help but notice the actor’s smooth features and ‘unrecognizable’ appearance as he promoted his new movie ‘King Richard.’
The 53-year-old star sported a three-piece suit, a patterned tie, and a purple shirt when he appeared via video link on Wednesday.
One viewer took to social media and wrote: “What’s up with Will Smith’s face??”
Another suggested that the actor looked the same as he died when he first appeared on the NBC TV series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’7
A third said: “What has happened to Will Smith?! Speaking…. Very… robotic…. on.. the.. telly #TheOneShow.”
The actor appeared on The One Show to talk about his movie King Richard, which is based on the biography of Richard Williams who helped his daughters Venus and Serena Williams navigate their lives as athletes.
Will revealed during the interview that Venus and Serena did not give the movie their blessing at first.
“Venus and Serena when the idea came up they were a little hesitant, and they said they would executive produce the film but would wait until they saw the movie until they decided to put their names on it,” he told hosts Jermaine Jenas and Zoe Ball.
“But they were so honored, they agreed to put their names on the film. And when you make a movie like this there really is only one audience, and it’s the people you are depicting,” he continued.
“And when they walked out of that theatre and agreed to put their names on this movie, it was one of the highest points in my career.”
Will also said that he’s not sure whether Richard Williams has seen the movie.
“He’s not very well,” Will said. “We don’t know if he hasn’t seen the film, but Serena said it would be unlike him if he didn’t watch it.”
