Four tourists have been banned from Universal Studios in Orlando after they were pictured throwing the Nazi salute while on a roller coaster ride.
They were photographed making the white supremacy signs while riding the ‘Revenge of the Mummy’ ride at the park.
The photo was shared on Twitter, Reddit, and other social media platforms.
The four tourists made the Nazi salute with one arm while their other made an ‘OK’ sign, which has recently become associated with supremacist groups.
The OK sign was also used in a trolling campaign by 4Chan, a controversial website who said the W-P shape made by the hand meant White Power.
However, according to the Anti-Defamation League, the sign has also been appropriated by actual supremacists.
People blasted the Universal Studios photo as being offensive and called for the amusement park to do something about it.
The photo was removed and a statement from the Universal Studios was shared across social media platforms indicating that they had removed the photo and banned the group from returning to the park.
“Hate has no place here — and we have no tolerance for any display of hatred within our destination. We stand for diversity, inclusion, and respect. This photo is appalling and we pulled it from our Facebook page as soon as we became aware of it,” said the Universal Studios in a statement.
“Any Guest using hate speech or displaying hate symbols will be immediately removed from our destination and not allowed to return.”
One internet user commented: “They should be locked in a room and forced to watch news reels from the Concentration camps over and over until they understand why they are ignorant.”
Another wrote: “Good for the park! This behavior is just ridiculous. They look so foolish.”
A third said: “I’m sure mommy and daddy paid for their annual pass, I love the way they can never return!”
