A footage has captured the unbelievable moment a gigantic humpback whale breaches right in front of a boat full of stunned tourists.
The incredible moment was captured by John Goodridge, a wildlife photographer, during a “Go Whale Watching” cruise.
In the footage, the 20-tonne humpback whale can be seen surprising the tourists just a few feet away from their boat at Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia.
Overall, it was a lucky day for tourists, as well as for Goodridge, since they witnessed more than 30 whale breaches in just a little over an hour.
However, the breach recorded in the footage was far more majestic as compared to other breaches that happened that day.
In fact, Goodridge who is a UK expat said it was “one of the most spectacular breaches he had ever seen” granted the huge whale nearly “swamped” the small boat into little pieces.
He added: “The whales were really playful. Sometimes you can sit out there and not even see one, so we were really lucky.
“To see a whale breach is really amazing. They actually do it to clean their skin of all the barnacles and parasites that have built up.”
In another amazing incident which happened recently, a paddler had an extremely close encounter with a massive whale.
The man shared the video on the internet and said: “It was just me in Crescent Head Back Beach on the 6th of August 2018.
“I have been paddling around the headland on a SUP when a huge group of dolphins appeared. After following them to the back beach this very unique situation with the whales happened.”
And if you haven’t still fallen in love with these gigantic creatures, you will after seeing the next video.
An unbelievable footage shared earlier this year on the internet showed the heart-stopping moment when a giant, 50,000-pound humpback whale took it upon itself to protect a snorkeler from a nearby shark.
