While ordinary kids play video games in their free time, this boy from London used his spare time to become the ‘youngest accountant’ in the UK.
Ranveer Singh Sandhu wanted to work in accounts ever since he was 12.
Although kids this age are confused to select a career from a diverse pool of choices ranging from professional footballer to astronaut, Ranveer knew what he had to be.
To pursue his passion, the school kid attended an online Accountancy course for six months, managing it besides his study work.
After becoming a certified Accountant at the age of 12, the youngster launched his company Ranveer Singh Sandhu before setting up his business Digital Accounts in June 2016.
Ranveer, who lives in Croydon, even created an application software to help his clients track their finances.
Fast forward three years, the 15-year-old is now working with 10 clients. The savvy schoolboy is helping business owners with consultation and management of their finances.
The teen says he leaves behind a large portion of his earnings in his account so as to cover any outgoings and pays himself a small salary.
The year 10 GCSE student has also set himself an ambitious goal – to become a millionaire by 25 and retire for good.
The entrepreneurial spirit of the London based kid has also inspired his class fellows and friends to follow in his footsteps.
“My friends first found it a bit unusual and then they said they wanted to do something similar and start up their own business,” said Ranveer, who doesn’t plan to go to college.
The 15-year-old says he runs his business in his spare time, working from either his parents’ home or workplace, where he has his own office.
Ranveer also has some words for other young entrepreneurs who want to be like him. “Do what you love, start your business early and make money,” he said.
