The 51-year-old star gave the funds in four separate transactions on Sunday afternoon via GoFundMe as Walker prepares to fight a lawsuit filed by one of the cops who shot 26-year-old Taylor dead during a police raid.

According to reports, Louisville Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly sued Walker for battery, assault, and emotional distress in relation to the March 13 shooting.

Mattingly said that the EMT’s boyfriend shot his leg after cops had entered the apartment on a ‘no-knock’ search warrant.

The police sergeant was the only officer injured in the shooting.

Walker claimed he thought the cops were burglars as they did not announce themselves. The cops then opened fire, shooting into the home more than 30 times. Taylor, who had no criminal record, was struck five times and passed away in the hallway.

No drugs were found in the apartment.

Mattingly blames Walker for Taylor’s death as the cops “returned fire” only after he was shot in the leg.

According to the lawsuit, the incident caused the officer “severe trauma, mental anguish, and emotional distress.”

The lawsuit reads: “Walker’s conduct in shooting Mattingly is outrageous, intolerable, and offends all accepted standards of decency and morality.”

In an interview with ABC News in October, Mattingly said: “This is a point where we were doing our job, we gave too much time when we go in, I get shot, we returned fire.

“This is not us going, hunting somebody down. This is not kneeling on a neck. It’s nothing like that.”

Walker’s attorney said that his client was “immune from both criminal prosecution and civil liability as he was acting in self defense in his own home.”
