A heart-wrenching clip on Twitter has been making many rounds. The twin sisters sang a Kylie Minogue song for the dying mother.
The two daughters, Lauren and Sophie’s performance was shared on Twitter by Lee Cripps. Alex, the mother of two, passed away at her home. She had been battling with a brain tumor.
The video by now has been viewed over 46,000 times. The singer herself ended up looking at Lee’s tweet and communicated a heartfelt message to the family. Kylie mentioned that she is sorry for the loss of Alex and said that she was deeply touched by watching the two girls perform for the mother.
Alex in February 2014 was diagnosed with glioblastoma and died nearly five years later in January 2019. She took her last breath at the moment when Lee was holding her hands, and the two daughters were at school.
The twin sisters paid tributes to their late mother by sharing what they felt for her. Lauren said that by God’s grace she had the best mother in the world.
Lee has now taken a pledge to give the best life to the two kids and to teach them on how to live their lives to the fullest. He also said that her partner would have also wanted the same for her adorable daughters.
He shared the story of Alex to support Big Bandana Bake, which is a charity which works on the issue of brain tumors and to commence the “Brain Tumour Awareness Month.”
Alex passed away the next day after Lee recorded the daughter’s duo for their mother. She died on January 10.
The intention of Lee behind sharing the video was to make Kylie aware of how much the artist’s music means to the family. Lee would also like the possibility of Lauren and Sophie meeting the singer.
Both Lee and Alex were huge Kylie fans and even had plans to see her perform live this summer at Blenheim Palace. In the past, they had together witnessed five of the Kylie live shows.
The couple got married in 2003 and received their biggest happiness in the form of twin daughters who were born in 2010.
Lee explained that Sophie reflects Alex and Lauren reflect him. In his opinion, Alex always adored her two gems at all times.
