It’s not all too uncommon to hear about the struggles and sacrifices made by a single mother to provide for their children, but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t a good share of single fathers who do the same for theirs.
One such father is James. James had moved from New York City to Denver to be able to provide a better life for he and his son.
“The reason I made this move is for him to be in a peaceful place,” James told Leon. “And I want him to experience things that I missed growing up.”

James had lined up a job and secured house before moving out, but the stars didn’t seem to align for him. Once James and his son got to Denver, their housing arrangements fell through and were left homeless.
This is where the story makes a U-turn for the best. TV host Leon Logothetis found James and his story during the #GoBeKind tour. What Leon was able to do for this father and son couple was nothing short of an answered prayer.

Shortly after the YouTube video was published, strangers who were inspired by the story started a GoFundMe page to support the two, raising more than $56,000! This money went towards securing a home, a reliable vehicle to get to and from work, and proper daycare for his son!
