Marie Buchan is again in the headlines but not for conceiving another child but for some other reason.
The mother of eight has said that she has been turned down from jobs just because of her good looks. She said that she is unable to get a job in her field as the hiring team thinks that she is too pretty for the job.
Previously, Marie was criticized for making certain choices like;
- Using money for selfish reasons
- In order to capitalize her fame, she hired an agent
- Collecting $2000/month in benefits
On the other hand, people have criticized Marie for taking the system for granted. Since she gave birth to her first child at 19, she has been living off the benefits.
Marie has been working hard to become a mechanic, she said that it is her dream since childhood. She said that it is a field of men and therefore, she is finding it difficult to find a job.
Moreover, Marie has appeared in television several times raising voice for her opinions. People criticized her when they found out that she was spending all her wages for peripheral things like wanting to get breast augmentation and funding a music video.
Covering her deeds, she said that parenting is not easy. She has to do something for the survival of her children. The field of mechanic is currently all male-driven and she has raised her voice about this sexism.
People asked her why is she continuously having children when she is not able to look after them and afford them. In reply, Marie said that she is afraid of being left alone in this world.
Also, she said that her kids were all going to attend school and college and they will eventually give everything back to the system.
Marie has remained in the headlines all her years. She once made the headlines when she complained about the system making cuts to her $31,000 she received every year.
She has even hired an agent to manage all her social media accounts and appearances.
She even said that she indulged in a photo shoot sporting bare minimum clothes to prove the world how ‘unemployable’ she is.
She previously used to work as a landscaper and she wishes that the world could take her seriously in her field because she is good at what she does.
She has given the examples of female gender working in so many different sections of the society like Army, Police Force, and more and has said that women are much more than being called attractive.
Marie is supposed to finish her studies in March and is excited about doing her dream job. She is giving off the benefits and the welfare and is planning to start her own mechanic shop in Birmingham.
