Celebrities have a huge fan following, and sometimes their fans do something outrageous to gather their favorite celebrity’s attention.

This is why it isn’t uncommon to find fans with the celebrity’s names or pictures tattooed or people with uncanny resemblance to their ideal stars.

Many even force their liking for a particular celebrity on other people, which sometimes cost them their jobs.

Maybe this is why sixty-six-year-old Jerry Foxhoven was fired. He worked as the head of Iowa’s department of human services.

In two years, he had sent some 350 pages of emails related to his favorite rapper, Tupac Shakur, to almost 4300 of Iowa’s employees.

On 17 June, Iowa governor Kim Reynolds had requested Jerry to resign following which he did so. This was just a few days after he emailed all the staff asking them to listen to Shakur’s music over the weekend to mark the late rapper’s birthday.

This is not the first time he had done something of this sort. He implemented Tupac Fridays, forcing the staff to listen to Tupac’s raps during his shift.

He even marked all Tupac related dates like his birthday and death anniversary. On his own birthday, once, he brought Tupac-themed cookies to the office.

He admitted that he likes rap music, especially Tupac’s. He said that he was forced to resign without a warning or a specific reason.

And he did not even have a meeting with Reynolds. The chief of staff took his ID and work phone and told him not to return to the office.

He hopes that his obsession with the artist wasn’t the reason behind his dismissal and admitted that he would be very disappointed if Tupac was the reason.

But, his love for Tupac cannot be affected by his dismissal. He still wanted to listen to Tupac’s raps on his birthday.
