AOC also urged House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to take immediate action against Republican members whose motives she distrusts.

“There’s no consequences for racism. No consequences for misogyny. No consequences for insurrection. And no consequence means that they condone it,” the representative, who admitted feeling unsafe among her colleagues in Congress, said.

“It means that that silence is acceptance, and they want it because they know that it is a core animating political energy for them.”

Following her comments, Tucker Carlson of Fox News blasted the congresswoman and claimed she was “a tool of corporate power, posing as a truth teller.”

The TV host also insisted AOC was trying to “terrify” Americans with her “dark fantasy” narrative about the alleged presence of white supremacism among top government officials.

“Look at her campaign contributions. Who is supporting her campaign: people who want to change the subject away from economics to identity politics,” Carlson said in response to AOC on Friday.

“Listen specifically to what she says, and think about the effect on the people listening, people standing in airports will hear her say that.

“Fealty to white supremacist organizations as a political tool. What does that even mean? We are not sure who she’s talking about. Apparently the Republican party and its grand leader Kevin McCarthy of California.”

Adding to the debate, Carlson went on to brand the Democrat’s narrative a “very dark fantasy” as he suggested the representative is trying to scare Americans.

“That’s not true, but it’s worse than that. This is a fantasy, it’s a very dark fantasy, designed to terrify people and make them easier to command,” he added.
