The “comical” moment occurred in Alberta, Canada, where a crook wanted to pay for his energy drink using a stolen card.

At first, the thief swiped the card which didn’t work. He then attempted to pay for the drink by tapping on the card reader which didn’t work as well.

Fortunately, the card appeared as stolen on the screen which prompted the cashier, Mr. Stevens, to alert the police officer standing right behind the thief.

“When he went to pay, unfortunately, it came up on the slip that it was a stolen credit card and to call the police, which was pretty easy to do,” Stevens said.

“I just had to show him the paper and he was more than happy to make an arrest. I almost fell down laughing, I was doing pretty well everything I could to not start laughing as he was arresting him.

“It was quite comical.”
