The US government is struggling to deal with the crisis happening back down at the southern border of Texas, and Kamala Harris’ name is all over it.
After being assigned the responsibility to take care of it and receive support in order to alleviate the situation, she has taken her hands off of it and Trump Homeland Security officials say that they’re glad that she did so.
Customs and Border Protection commissioner Mark Morgan tells sources, “I’m glad she’s nowhere near the border,” claiming she would make the situation worse than it already is. It is already tough to deal with, and the absence of Harris is something that the general public has been criticizing for the last two weeks.
He continues, commenting that if Harris interfered, she “should do as the anointed border czar,”
Recently, there was a panel talk that addressed the failure that was happening at the border.
Cuccinelli tells sources that “this is a political hot potato within the administration, none of them want it,” and is a result of President Joe Biden passing it down to Kamala Harris. He also has not made a visit to the southern border, and neither will the vice president be near it anytime soon.
Biden’s policies are said to be more lax than Trump era’s immigration policies, but that was the cause of the humanitarian crisis at hand that the country is facing. There are thousands of unaccompanied minors that are crossing the border, and trafficking crimes are on the rise.
Political officers are saying “we told you so,” towards the Biden administration from their failure to keep their promise of securing the situation. The White House’s message has “been all wrong, leading to concussion among the public and DHS and border officials and agents,”
Officials say that the “administration needs to clear up who’s in charge… I can’t tell you how many people that I’ve talked to at the department has no idea who’s in charge,” and it’s a problem.
Recently, the President has released a tweet that defends his vice president, Kamala Harris, from the criticism she’s been receiving so far. He tweets: “When I served as Vice President, I asked to be the last person with the President before big decisions were made — and @VP is providing the same counsel to me. She’s the last voice in the room and never fails to speak the truth as we work to build our nation back better.”
