Trump’s Attempt To Troll Thunberg Backfired As The 16-Year-Old Gave A Silent Yet Powerful Reply

Greta Thunberg has been up to some really great things this week.

The 16-year-old environment activist from Sweden led a climate march in New York City, delivered a powerful and emotional speech at the UN, and stared at President Trump with an angry gaze (a scene which is already viral).

The young activist showed that nothing including the disapproval of the Commander in Chief of the US can hold her back from her goal.

The story started when Thunberg held the leaders of the world at a UN convention responsible for not taking adequate measures to prevent negative environmental impacts.

“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words,” said Thunberg.

“And yet I’m one of the lucky ones. People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction.

“And all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!”

The speech got both positive and negative responses. With supporters hailing her for her brave actions, the Conservatives had rather negative response.

The haters included one Fox News representative, who branded her as ‘mentally ill.’ Thunberg does suffer from Asperger’s Syndrome and she has never tried to conceal it.

Following Thunberg’s speech, President Trump tweeted: “She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”

In his tweet, Trump referred to that part of Thunberg’s speech which read: “People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth.”

Trump happens to be among that lot of people who do not believe in the science behind global warming and climate change. He has openly defended his point of view on the issue.

Due to Trump’s background being against all the efforts to reduce the negative impact on the climate, a lot of people thought Trump’s tweet about Thunberg was sarcastic indeed.

Known for being outspoken and famous for offending adults, Thunberg did not reply directly to the allegedly sarcastic tweet of the POTUS.

However, in a clever move, she changed her Twitter bio to: “A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future.”

Thunberg’s silent reply to Trump has won a lot of appreciation from her supporters.
