The president posted a video on Twitter at 4:17 pm, telling his supporters: “I know you’re in pain. I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. But you have to go home now.”

The social media platform labeled the video with a warning: “This claim of election fraud is disputed, and this Tweet can’t be replied to, Retweeted, or liked due to a risk of violence.”

The tweet came after President-elect Joe Biden held a news conference to address the situation.

“This is not dissent, it’s disorder. It’s chaos. It borders on sedition. And it must end now. I call on this mob to pull back and allow the work of democracy to go forward,” he said.
