Trump’s spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany appeared to condemn the assault on Capitol as she slammed violent rioters for their “appalling” actions.

“Let me be clear, the violence we saw yesterday at our nation’s capital was appalling, reprehensible and antithetical to the American way,” McEnany said on “behalf of the entire White House.”

After defending the peaceful protesters and condemning the rioters who broke into Capitol during a joint session of Congress, the spokeswoman concluded reading her statement from a notebook before charging out of the room and avoiding questions.

“Those who violently besieged our Capitol, are the opposite of everything this administration stands for – the core value of our administration is the idea that all citizens have the right to live and safety, peace and freedom,” McEnany concluded.

While the White House Press Secretary insisted she was speaking on behalf of the entire administration, America hasn’t heard much from Trump since he told the protesters to “go home with love” after the breach at Capitol.

In a statement later that night, Trump finally promised a “peaceful transition of power” even though he refused to give up on his voter fraud allegations by calling the election “rigged.”

In her Thursday statement, McEnany confirmed that the administration is preparing for “an orderly transition of power.”

“Those who are working in this building are working to ensure an orderly transition of power. Now it is time for America to unites to come together to reject the violence that we have seen,” she said.
