Recently, Trump and his wife, Melania, alongside their son, Barron, have been seen in Mar-a-lago, assuming that it is to spend time with his family and go out golfing for the holiday. In light of the Trump scam scandal that Troye is referring to, supporters had been donating at least up to $122 million out of their own pocket and without their knowledge. This scam had hit audiences such as the elderly, military veterans, and even political operatives, which then sent the banks to give out numerous overdraft fees and credit card limits.

Trump’s supporters were signing up to help support his campaign back in 2020, but were under the intention that it would only be a one-time payment. Once supporters found out about it, there was a lot of displacement of trust with Trump’s fundraising tactic, resulting in lawsuits against the former president.

In retaliation, Trump is calling for boycotts with companies such as JP Morgan, ViacomCBS, Cisco, UPS, and Merck.
