Trump Fool’s Day: He’s Battling With Science and Losing It, Says The Media!

The so-called “Liberal Media” hated by both Trump and the conservative Republican Party (and rightly so, in their standpoint), is apparently reaping what they can gather from the COVID-19 crisis the nation is facing.

But unlike what Trump and his cohorts would say, does CNN and New York Times have an actual firm ground in what they are saying as of today?

On a very firm basis, the New York Times has provided their otherwise non-gratuitous online services totally free regarding the Corona pandemic. And while they were at it, they used it to their advantage, as is expected.

The New York Times has provided an interactive, up-to-date thread of the statements under their special edition of “The President vs. the Experts: How Trump Played Down the Coronavirus.”

Unlike the rather snidely hinting headline would suggest, what the post does is keep a memorabilia of the exact statements of President Trump and juxtapose it with the health authorities around the world.

Some of the hand-picked vis-a-vis roasts of Donald Trump includes:

Trump on Feb. 2 on Sean Hannity’s Programme: “We pretty much shut it [coronavirus] down coming in from China.”

Five days later, on Feb. 7, his very own health and human service secretary venturing on to say the travel restrictions “were very measured and incremental”.

Then on another 5 day term, the executive director of the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense, Asha M. George said the same makeshift policies were too lackluster and behind the time frame. “Travel restrictions are not going to remain the sole way to try and control all of this.”

Then along comes the director for the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC), Dr. Robert Redfield, President Trump’s handpicked henchman alleged to have said on CNN: “This virus is probably with us beyond this season, beyond this year” grudgingly.

CNN is certainly not the one to miss upon this obviously gloating assembly of facts and they were quick to work on their editorial.

Chris Cillizza, CNN’s Editor-at-large, has declared liberal media reality with the article “Donald Trump can’t face the stubborn reality: He was wrong about corona virus.”, on March 31.

He goes on beyond the point of juxtaposition: “But the truth still matters. And the truth is that Trump repeatedly downplayed the threat coronavirus posed to the country, providing Americans with false hope when they needed candor and transparency most of all.”

This is a directly opposite mirror view of opinions as to how Fox News is portraying the whole facade of the crisis. The surgeon general on Fox News the previous week went on to say that the US has now tested for more potential patients than South Korea, the model nation amidst the crisis.

Will this crisis prove to be the poison apple for Donald Trump and his potential tenure as the next incumbent president? Or would this turn out to be the big April Fool’s Day Joke as he is constantly tweeting over us?
