Donald Trump surprised NYPD and FDNY officers on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

According to reports, he visited officers at NYPD’s 17th Precinct in East Midtown in Manhattan on Saturday afternoon and posed for photos with a group of police officers.

The former president spoke briefly about the attacks – when around 3,000 Americans tragically died in four coordinated attacks on the World Trade Center, a plane that went down in Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon.

Trump did not attend the ceremony at Ground Zero but traveled from his Trump Tower building to visit the cops and the fire station next door.

He called the anniversary “a very sad day for a lot of reasons” as he praised firefighters and police in brief remarks, Fox News reported.

“I grew up with you and you are New York’s finest. You’re incredible people,” he said. “I know many of you.”

The former president also criticized President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan and continued to push his claim that the 2020 election was ‘rigged.’

“It was gross incompetence and I hate to talk about it on this day,” he said of the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Trump was coy when asked if he would seek another term in 2024. “That’s a tough question,” he expressed.

“Actually, for me, it’s an easy question. I mean, I know what I’m going to do, but I’m not supposed to be talking about it yet from the standpoint of campaign finance laws, which, frankly, are ridiculous. But I think you’re going to be happy.”

Trump posed for photos with the cops and joked that “if I catch COVID, it’s because of you,” according to WNBC.
