President Trump calls for Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi to be impeached as he accused them of treason in a Twitter rant.
Trump accused Pelosi of treason and claimed she knew about Schiff’s ‘lies and massive frauds. He also called for both of them to be impeached for ‘High Crimes and Misdemeanors, and even Treason’ amid controversy over his call to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He has previously called out the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff, for treason over characterization of the call during a Capitol Hill hearing.
Other Democrats and Schiff are looking to impeach Trump after they said he made the call to pressure the Ukraine president into investigating former vice president Joe Biden for corruption.
“Nancy Pelosi knew of all of the many Shifty Adam Schiff lies and massive frauds perpetrated upon Congress and the American people, in the form of a fraudulent speech knowingly delivered as a ruthless con,” Trump tweeted.
He added: “This makes Nervous Nancy every bit as guilty as Liddle’ Adam Schiff for High Crimes and Misdemeanors, and even Treason. I guess that means that they, along with all of those that evilly ‘Colluded’ with them, must all be immediately Impeached!”
But Schiff and Pelosi can’t be impeached under the constitution. According to Article II, Section 4, those who can be impeached include “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States.”
The US president’s also alleged that Pelosi knew of the “illegal meetings with a highly partisan ‘Whistleblower’ & lawyer…”
One internet user commented: “He is correct. As the Commissioner of NY stated that Adam Schifty is committing conspiracy to remove a lawful president and is treason. So it is he and Nancy Pssylosi that need to be impeached.”
Another wrote: “Do you wonder if he has even read the constitution?”
A third said: “They can’t be impeached. That’s how desperate and weakened he is. Flailing at shadows.”
