President Donald Trump and wife Melania sported a stylish outfit for their 2020 Christmas portrait.
In their official 2020 Christmas photo, the couple are seen posing in matching tuxedoes and smiling for the camera.
The first lady shared the photo on Twitter, writing: “Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.”
Melania also revealed that the Christmas portrait was taken by White House photographer Andrea Hanks on December 10.
“@realDonaldTrump & @FLOTUS are seen December 10, in their official 2020 Christmas portrait, on the Grand staircase of the White House in Washington, D.C. (Official White House Photo by Andrea Hanks),” the tweet adds.
For their final Christmas portrait, the couple decided to stand on a bright red carpet with the grand staircase behind them. The photo was taken on the same day as the congressional Christmas party.
The first lady recently shared a video of herself touring the White House and revealed that the Christmas theme was meant to celebrate “the majesty of our great nation.”
Melania wrote on Twitter: “During this special time of the year, I am delighted to share “America the Beautiful” and pay tribute to the majesty of our great Nation. Together, we celebrate this land we are all proud to call home.”
The East Wing said that the first lady personally selected every detail of the holiday décor in the White House.
There is also a room dedicated to frontline workers, first responders, and essential personnel.
In the main hallway, Christmas trees are decorated in red ornaments, and gifts featured labels such as ‘love,’ ‘faith,’ and ‘peace’ as a great reminder that gifts come in different forms.
